About

Crescent Park often serves as the first impression for visitors to Palo Alto; with its wide streets flanked by majestic tall trees and charming street lights, it’s not easy to forget. For many, Crescent Park’s distinct look and feel is the quintessential example of Palo Alto living. In fact, 49ers quarterback Steve Young and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg certainly share this sentiment, as both choose to reside here.

Prestigious Crescent Park features a colorful mix of high-quality construction and notable architecture. This includes Birge Clark’s best examples of Spanish Colonial Revival, historic Victorians, and newer contemporary homes. With a mosaic of architecture, new residents are able to find a home that suits their tastes and styles.

While smaller lots and homes exist, Crescent Park is better known for the “estates” that line University Avenue and sit near San Francisquito Creek. Some homes in this northern region have lots of over half an acre. Due to the close proximity to the creek, the majority of the neighborhood is a designated flood zone, which results in lenders requiring homeowners to carry flood insurance. However, this hindrance does not greatly impede on Crescent Park’s desirability.

With beautiful streets, lush parks, and the convenient walkability to downtown amenities, this prized neighborhood will remain popular for years to come. Crescent Park is one of Ken DeLeon’s favorite neighborhoods, and he greatly enjoyed living here due to the exceptional walkability and stately beauty of this treasured neighborhood.
