Overview
The Cordes neighborhood is the northernmost neighborhood in San Carlos. Cordes borders the town of Belmont to its north, El Camino Real to its east, San Carlos Avenue to its south and Alameda de las Pulgas to its west.
The Cordes neighborhood features mostly Single-Family Residences with a few Condos along San Carlos Avenue. The neighborhood features both lots on flat ground and lots on hilly terrain.
The San Carlos school district boasts the unique structure of having three levels of school before a student reaches High School. The Cordes neighborhood has one of each of these levels of school. Despite the unique structure, The Mariposa Upper Elementary School and Tierra Linda Middle School are located on the same campus. High school aged students in the neighborhood have the opportunity to attend the district’s highest ranked high school (per Niche.com), Carlmont High School.
