About

Los Trancos is nestled in the hills of Portola Valley, providing residents with verdant beauty. Homes in Los Trancos are usually more affordable than similar properties in Central Portola Valley and come with stunning vistas of the beautiful topography. Unlike other neighborhoods in the area, the boundaries of Los Trancos are more amorphous.

Though this neighborhood’s steep hills and narrow roads are less bike-friendly, for those who prefer hiking, Los Trancos Open Space Preserve is ideal. This 274-acre reserve located in the Santa Cruz Mountains has over 5 miles of hiking trails, many reaching heights of nearly 2,000 feet above sea level. Unique to Los Trancos is the 1.5-mile long trail that focuses on fault lines and earthquakes.
