About

A small triangle at the intersection of Alpine and Portola Road near Corte Madera Middle School marks the location of the Brookside park/Willowbrook neighborhood. By Portola Valley standards, lots here are relatively modest, averaging around a half-acre in size.

Many of the residents in the Brookside/Willowbrook neighborhood are able to take full advantage of the area’s potential for outdoor recreation. Abundant trails and paths allow activities such as hiking, biking, and jogging, while one popular bike route nicknamed the “Loop,” is an 11-mile bike route that runs along Portola, Alpine, and Sand Hill Roads. For the more ambitious bikers, the end of the “Loop” connects to another great bike route-the Foothill Expressway.
